National Research Center, Inc. (NRC) is proud to announce the winners of the 2016 Voice of the People (VOP) Awards.
The VOP Awards fall into two categories, Excellence and Transformation, which are divided into eight facets of livability: Safety, Mobility, Natural Environment, Built Environment, Economy, Recreation and Wellness, Education and Enrichment and Community Engagement.
The only accolade given in local government based on resident opinion, the VOP Awards follow the administration of The National Citizen Survey™ (The NCS™). Winners are chosen not only from high resident ratings, but also by demonstrating remarkable impact for the betterment of their communities. The 2016 VOP winners and nominees impressed judges with exemplary submissions, showcasing pride in their communities and the changes they’ve made.
These awards are presented each year by NRC in partnership with the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), and were given to this year’s recipients at the 102nd Annual ICMA Conference in Kansas City, MO.
