-NRC Q&A-
Credible survey research must produce scientifically valid, accurate results. So National Research Center, Inc. (NRC) takes great care to analyze the data from each survey to ensure statistical representation and provide actionable information. NRC Survey Consultant Jade Arocha details the thoughtful measures that go into NRC’s survey data analysis process.
Data analysis is a time and labor-intensive process. It must be meticulously handled to ensure quality control when we deliver the most accurate data back to the local governments we serve. NRC uses a statistical analysis software (SPSS) which helps guarantee accuracy so that city staff, media and residents can trust in the validity of the results. Our expert survey and data scientists also audit and data-check every number and piece of text before final reports are presented.
It’s also important to ensure that our year-over-year comparative data is up to date. We have the unique ability to provide national benchmarks from our vast database of thousands of residents’ opinions from over 600 communities across the country. This means we can compare survey responses and results to similar jurisdictions and put the data into meaningful context. The benchmarks can be customized to provide various comparisons by demographics, regions and much more.
