Understanding Your Subscriber Dashboard on Polco
The Subscriber Dashboard on Polco helps you manage and engage with your subscribers—those who see your public content and receive emails when you publish new material.
Growing Your Subscriber Base
To expand your reach, post content regularly and engage in targeted outreach. A larger subscriber base helps you get more responses to future surveys and polls. You can focus your efforts on getting a representative sample from your community.
Existing Subscribers
If you're new to Polco but already have subscribers, it could be due to:
- Respondents following a publisher before joining Polco.
- Auto-subscription based on shared zip codes.
- Respondents being subscribed to multiple publishers if their zip code covers several jurisdictions.
Viewing Subscriber Data
Once you have 10 respondents, you'll see demographic breakdowns by:
- Age & Gender: Based on self-reported data or voter registration records.
- Race: Shown if respondents have provided this information.
- Location: Displayed on a map for verified respondents.
Transferring Subscribers
While you cannot transfer subscribers directly from another platform due to legal constraints, you can email your existing list, inviting them to join Polco and participate in your surveys.
Verification Process
Respondents have the option to verify themselves by providing their name and zip code, and this verification status will reflect in your data.
Using the Subscriber Dashboard effectively will help you understand and grow your audience, making your surveys more successful and representative of your community.
