Celebrating the 2020 Voice of the People Awards Winners and Finalists

National Research Center (NRC) / Polco and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) proudly announce the winners and finalists of the 2020 Voice of the People (VOP) Awards!

The Voice of the People Awards (VOP) are the only awards given in local government based on the opinion of community residents. They are presented jointly by National Research Center (NRC) at Polco and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). Award-winning communities have exceptionally high or impressively improved rankings on The National Community Survey™ (The NCS™). They also show evidence of taking smart actions based on The NCS data.

The awards also recognize communities that show leadership in online engagement.

“We love celebrating these communities for their innovation, dedication, and intentionality,” said Damema Mann, Director of National Engagement for NRC/Polco.

The VOP Awards cover a variety of categories, such as Community Engagement, Safety, Mobility, Foundations of Livability, Recreation and Wellness, Education and Enrichment, Natural Environment, Built Environment, Economy, and Online Community Engagement.
